It is! I promise!
A lot has happened since I wrote last. The most surprising thing is probably that I am still in DC….ha ha haaaa.
Anyways, when I last wrote to you all, I was mad at American Airlines for delaying my flight one million times and also proclaimed that I wanted to read the two books that I had mentioned. I am sure that you will all be so happy to hear that I have made the highest commitment of allegiance to Southwest by getting their credit card. Never stray from those you love. Secondly, I did not finish either of those books. I made some progress on The Genius of Dogs but I have not even attempted to start The Anthropology of Turquoise. There is good news though! With a little help from my littlest love button, Camille, I have rekindled my relationship with books. It’s true! I am back!!!!
I have made the decision to follow in Camille’s footsteps (copy her) and dedicate a section of my delightful website to my reads. It’s going to be called, “My Reads” and you can find it in the menu! I have always loved to read but I have also always been horrible at writing. I will leave the detailed (and actually helpful) reviews to Camille. Please read all of her posts on her cutie little blog — camandherbooks.wordpress.com (also follow her on IG to keep up @_camsbooks).
Another truly INCREDIBLE thing that I did during my nearly six month absence — I went to Africa!!! I will dedicate another post regarding that trip soon (hopefully) so that I can go more in depth. Now that I think about it, I have actually gone to a lot of new places this year. Maybe my travels will be enough to constitute their own tab in the menu as well.
That obviously took so much convincing, I am going to add it right after I submit this.
Ok so I guess that is all on the life updates for now. I got a new position at the same company. The Nationals won the World Series. The Patriots lost to the RAVENS (gross). I bought a new candle from Marshalls and it is Christmasy and wonderful. Why does Christmas smell so good? I will never fully understand it.
Enjoy the rest of your NFL week 11. The Patriots are currently losing to the EAGLES so keep me in your prayers.
