As I wait for my flight to be delayed for an eleventh time out at the LOVELY BWI airport, I have decided that it is time. It is time to write. No one will be reading this anyway so I can just let my thumbs tippity-tap away at my little keyboard as I pour out my soul. Very dramatic. I’m here for it.
I have spent too much time job searching, online shopping, and just about anything to drain every percent of battery from my phone. I took out one of my two new birthday books (courtesy of my middlest sister, Betsy) and opened it to page one only to immediately drop it and start this post. Halle has inspired me once again (she inspired me to get this site) (I overuse parenthesis) by showing the world that I am intelligent and quirky because I like to read!!!! But mostly I just want to have it written down somewhere that I would actually like to start and finish a book this year. I start one, find another, ditch the original, and then the cycle repeats. It turns into this pile of half-loved non-fictions which are not even my favorite kind.
I’m getting sidetracked.
The two newbies are The Anthropology of Turquoise and The Genius of Dogs which are not going to exponentially change my life or move me to become a better person but they are different and I will learn something and I like that enough to justify finishing them both!!! That and they’re both relatively small so I should be able to hold my attention long enough.
My portable charger just pooped out on me at 49% and there’s still three hours until my flight boards (knock on wood).
Downfalls of traveling alone:
Needing to take all of your stuff with you when you have to pee
No napping for delayed flights
What is this turning into? I haven’t even had an airport beer which is what I was most excited for. I guess this wraps it up for now since I didn’t have anything to share and this was just me coping with pure B O R E D O M. I will sign off by saying that there are quite a few pups here so that has made me a little happy.
